The challenge
FIFA partnered with Algorand to launch FIFA+ Collect, a platform capturing iconic World Cup moments as digital collectibles. The challenge wasn’t just about introducing a product — it was about making Web3 accessible to the everyday football fan. We needed to educate fans on digital collectibles, weave FIFA+ Collect into football culture, and spark adoption through the power of creators, publishers, and FIFA’s global partner ecosystem.
Our approach
We designed a social-first strategy that turned education into entertainment and collectibles into culture: Demystify the concept – Creators broke down digital collectibles in simple, relatable ways. Co-create with the community – Content was built around fan stories, turning FIFA+ Collect into part of the global football conversation. Inspire fandom at scale – Campaigns encouraged fans to not only buy their favorite World Cup moments but proudly share them online, fueling a sense of ownership and pride. This approach ensured FIFA+ Collect wasn’t just a platform launch — it became a bridge between football’s global community and its digital future.
